A Note From the Mayor:

Through this medium the San Pedro Town Council confirm their full support towards the Apprentice Program San Pedro Town. The Apprentice Program is geared in helping youths gain hands-on exposure and basic job training skills that are needed and are essential in today's work field. In order for an intern to have successfully completed this program they completed 240 hours (12 twenty-hour weeks) of on the job training in the specific area and 24 hours of general classroom instruction. The apprentice program is opened to youths between the ages of 15 to 20.

As Mayor of this town we applaud the wonderful efforts that are being done by these volunteers to steer our youngsters on the right path. The Apprentice Program has proven to be very successful in their mission and deserve all the support from the community that they can get. Again, we reiterate our commitment to this program.

Elsa Paz (Ms.)
Mayor

A Note From the Chamber of Commerce:

Our Ambergris Caye Chamber of Commerce is proud of its Education and Support Committee (ACES) whom has dedicated itself to youth education. The ACES program of Apprenticeship gives inexperienced youth a chance at a hands-on real-life work. The businesses that have welcomed these young people into their businesses have allowed them to be trained, and in many cases have kept them on as employees. Our Chamber appreciates the members of this committee and the those businesses for their efforts.

Thank you,
Tom L. Vidrine
